Justin has been married to Lindsay since March 2007. They currently have three daughters, Karis, Kaelyn, and Kinsley. Originally from southern Louisiana (where dey know how to cook a good gumbo, yeah!), Justin has spent most of his time in the Houston and surrounding areas. Prior to coming to Heaston Church, Justin worked as the Director of Admission and Advising, as well as an Administrative Faculty member at the College of Biblical Studies in Houston. He has a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Counseling from the College of Biblical Studies in Houston. In addition to serving as the pastor of Heaston Community Church, he is also a Chaplain in the United States Air Force Reserve.
Justin has gained a reputation as a bit of a "coffee snob" for his love of Starbucks coffee. While some would call it an addiction, he prefers to call it a passion!
"My family and I are excited to be a part of what God has been, is, and will do at Heaston Community Church. We are grateful to be here and look forward to getting to know the people of Heaston Community Church, El Reno, and the surrounding cities and towns."
Russ joined the Heaston Church ministry team in July 2014. He received a Master of Theology degree from Dallas Theological Seminary with an Evangelism and Discipleship focus in 2013. While studying at DTS he served in various discipleship-focused ministry roles through internships at Pantego Bible Church and Firewheel Bible Fellowship. Prior to attending seminary, he served eight years in the United States Army as a Military Intelligence officer. Russ is married to Deanna and they have two sons – Garrett and Nolan.
Russ enjoys sports (especially the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys), visiting new places, military history, coffee, BBQ, and Indian food (but not at the same time).
“There is nothing greater than knowing God, growing in Him, and being used by Him. Deanna and I are excited to be a part of a church that is committed to loving, living, and leading others to Jesus Christ.”
Jeff joined the Heaston Church ministry team as worship pastor in September of 2014. Jeff and Nikki have been married for 23 years and have 6 children (4 on earth and 2 with Jesus). The Hill kids range in age from 21 down to 3. Yes, they are just a little bit crazy but have a very close family. They have adopted the phrase “We may not have it all together but together we have it all” as a family motto.
Jeff has served in ministry for the past 23 years as an associate pastor, youth pastor, worship pastor and even church custodian for a season. Jeff has worked with churches from 20 to 10,000. He holds a double major bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Counseling from Louisiana Baptist University.
Jeff has also served as a nurse, Pastoral Care Coordinator for Integris Canadian Valley Hospital and as a hospice chaplain. He keeps his nursing license active. (With that many kids it’s always nice to have a nurse around!)
In addition to serving as worship pastor of Heaston Church, Jeff also serves as a chaplain for the Oklahoma City Police Department and assists the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office as needed.
Dylan joined our team in August 2017. He is a former OU football player, and while he loves the game and his time with the team, he realized that football was quickly becoming more important to him than his relationship with Jesus. So, he transferred out from OU to finish his education and later went on to complete his M. Div at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Tx.
We are glad to have Dylan join the Heaston Staff team.
Ellen has a passion for kids and particularly for kids hearing the gospel of God's grace and seeing them believe! She previously has served as the Children's Director at another church prior to coming to Heaston. While at Heaston she has served in the role of Music Director for several years, and most recently (because her passion for kids can't be quenched) she has been able to serve as the Children's Director of Heaston KIDS.
